Oversees and coordinates the CC work for ARIC
Attends the Steering, Executive, Surveillance, HF, Abstractor’s and AFU calls
Visits field centers for monitoring
Coordinates the CC activities for the ARIC Publications Committee
Provides staff support for Steering and Executive Committees
Coordinates the preparation of materials for the yearly Monitoring Board (OSMB) Meeting
Maintains any website updates
Maintains updates to Ancillary Study
Coordinates the Surveillance operational activities at the CC including preparing the list of abstractions from the hospital lists
Back up for the project manager.
Visits field centers for monitoring
Coordinates the CC work for laboratory which includes laboratory QC and distribution of new data.
Coordinates the QC reports for surveillance and AFU
Coordinates central training for CHD and HF abstractors for initial certification
Prepares AFU quarterly reports with updated data
Does NDI requests
Provides a back up for recertification training and testing of new forms in DMS
Coordinates end point reviews for CHD and HF surveillance
Coordinates the training for MMCC reviewers
Provides staff support for Surveillance committee, Abstractor’s committee and HF committee
Oversees the monthly management runs of surveillance data and sends out all data queries
Coordinates the updates and distribution of manuals and forms
Coordinates the work for Jackson Heart Study
Coordinates the testing of all new forms in the DMS system
Coordinates the work for web design updates
Coordinates the work for recertification of abstractor training
Coordinates the CMS data, applications, receipt and its analyses
Represents the CC on Steering Committee, Executive Committee, Publications Committee, and OSMB
Responsible for the development of statistical methodology
Participates as lead and contributing author statistician on manuscript writing groups
Chair of the Surveillance Committee, Abstractor’s Committee and Morbidity and Mortality Classification Committee (MMCC)
Member of Steering Committee, Executive Committee; Attends OSMB
Participates as lead and contributing author statistician on manuscript writing groups
Chair of the HF committee
Member of HF-MMCC committee-adjudicator
Lead trainer for HF abstractors
Participates as lead and contributing author statistician on manuscript writing groups
Member of GWAS committee
Chair of AFU committee
Member of Steering Committee, Executive Committee, MMCC and OSMB
